StatsLogic is a youth hockey statistics site. Associations, teams and coaches use it to keep rosters and record game statistics. This page explains what it stores, why, and who else can see it.

Information about account holders

If you create an account or sign in with Google, StatsLogic stores:

Your email address and the display name you choose.
If you register with a password, a cryptographic hash of it. The password itself is never stored and cannot be recovered from the hash.
If you sign in with Google, the email address and name Google provides. StatsLogic never receives your Google password.
Which teams and associations you have a role in, and what that role is.

Sign-in records

Each sign-in attempt, successful or not, is recorded with the time, the method used, whether it succeeded, the email address entered, and the IP address and browser user-agent the attempt came from. This exists to detect and investigate attempts to break into accounts. It is visible to site administrators.

Information about players

Rosters and statistics are entered by coaches and team administrators, not by players. For each player StatsLogic stores a name, a jersey number, whether they play goal, and their per-game statistics.

Players on youth teams are usually minors. A player's name and statistics are visible to anyone holding that team's access code, and to the administrators of the team's association. Coaches and team administrators decide who receives a code. If you are a parent or guardian and you want your child's name removed or changed, contact your team or association administrator, who can edit or delete the roster entry.

Association contact details

An association record includes its director's name, email address, phone number and mailing address, supplied when the association is registered. This is used to contact the association about its own account.

Other services StatsLogic uses

Google Sign-In, if you choose it, so Google can confirm your identity.
Google reCAPTCHA on the association-request and code-entry forms, to block automated abuse. Google receives information about your browser and network connection when the check runs.
An email delivery provider, to send confirmation, password-reset and invitation messages. Recipient addresses and message contents pass through it.
Off-site encrypted backup storage, holding copies of the database so the site can be restored after a failure.
A hosting provider, which runs the site and its storage.

StatsLogic does not sell personal information, does not share it for advertising, and carries no advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

How long information is kept

Rosters and statistics are kept for as long as the team or association keeps them, because season-over-season history is the point of the site. Backups are kept on a short rotation and older ones are deleted automatically. Deleting something from the site does not immediately remove it from a backup already taken; it ages out as that backup is replaced.

Your choices

You can change your display name, change or reset your password, and ask for your account to be deleted. Team and association administrators can edit or remove rosters and statistics for the teams they manage. To request deletion of an account or a player record, contact your association administrator or the site administrator.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
